Code of Conduct

“The Meeting Place for Greatness” – On and Off the Court

  1. Respect for Others

Speak to and about others with kindness and respect.

Discrimination, name-calling, or teasing based on race, gender, background, appearance, skill level, or any other reason is not tolerated.

Treat coaches, teammates, opponents, referees, and staff with courtesy at all times.

  2. Inclusion and Team Spirit

Celebrate differences—every player brings something unique to the team.

Support your teammates with encouragement, not criticism.

Be a positive voice in your team environment, lifting others up when they struggle.

  3. Personal Responsibility

Own your words and actions—if you make a mistake, take responsibility and make it right.

Show up on time, ready to learn, and with your best effort every session.

Follow gym rules and listen to coach instructions the first time.

  4. Integrity in Competition

Play fair—cheating, arguing, or disrespecting officials goes against the spirit of the game.

Keep your focus on effort and improvement, not just the scoreboard.

Win with humility, lose with grace.

  5. Safety and Physical Conduct

Keep hands, feet, and equipment to yourself unless part of the game or training activity.

Unsafe behavior or horseplay is not acceptable.

Respect others’ personal space and comfort levels.

  6. Communication and Conflict

If you have a problem with someone, talk to a coach or staff member—don’t try to handle it alone or with anger.

Practice active listening and respectful disagreement.

No yelling, gossiping, or spreading negativity.

  7. Parent & Coach Partnership

Parents and coaches will model respectful and inclusive behavior.

Any concerns should be communicated privately and respectfully, not during sessions or in front of others.
